Come to class every day prepared to learn & improve!
Be a self-regulated and reflective learner.
Reflect on what you do know and don’t know & then plan accordingly!
FAILING IS NOT AN OPTION IN THIS CLASS!!!
Students will be required to continuously reflect on their learning in order to determine their own knowledge level. In this class you are going to learn more than just English. You are going to learn how to become a successful SCHOLAR who knows what you’re doing correctly AND knows what things you need to practice and improve upon. Don’t be surprised if I ask you to continuously think about and reflect on your progress in this class & take necessary steps to ensure your success!
If you come to realize that you DON’T know something for my class as well as you should or if you get an assessment back and it is not a C or better, then COME SEEK HELP FROM ME!!! You can always rely on your team for help as well.
ALL STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO EARN A “C” OR BETTER IN THIS CLASS. IF YOU ARE EARNING A “D” OR “F”, EXPECT SWIFT CONSEQUENCES TO FOLLOW because any grade lower than a “C” does not earn college credit!
